Rachel Gonwa is an Implementation Specialist with the Rural Church Summer Literacy Initiative at the Impact Center at UNC Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute. Rachel is a macro social worker and received her Masters in Social Work from UNC Chapel Hill. She has over 10 years’ experience in the human services field with the majority of her work focused on women’s empowerment and strengthening families. Prior to joining FPG, Rachel has worked in the non-profit field where she has held many roles from Grant Writer to Community Partner Manager, to the Director of Planning and Strategic Initiatives.
