Build Up Project

The Build Up Project, one of many active implementation support partnerships within the Impact Center @ FPG’s portfolio, consists of multiple focus areas of work under the auspices of the Child Behavioral Health Team – part of the Division of Child and Family Wellbeing (DCFW) at the NC Department of Health and Human Services and other funding partners. The Team consists of multidisciplinary trained advanced implementation support professionals with broad expertise in helping state agencies, local community organizations, cross-system collaborations, and broad human services systems adopt and scale-up evidence-informed practices. Build Up team members help NCDHHS CBH Team leadership and project partners design effective implementation science-informed strategies at the state team level, and infuse implementation best practices throughout state-funded projects and initiatives. Examples include supporting LME/MCOs in their workforce development systems activities (addressing the behavioral health workforce), designing stronger state-level trauma-informed practices while supporting community resilience capacity building, facilitating local System of Care Collaborative capacity building and project implementation, and supporting infant/early childhood behavioral/mental health alignment within the NC Division of Child and Family Wellbeing (and its partners).
