What We Do

Media & Networking

Mobilizing research-based knowledge and behavior change using public communication, media, and messaging strategies to:

Provide normative information about child, family, and community health and wellbeing issues and typical issues related to program implementation and scale-up

Increase the awareness, reach and accessibility of research-based knowledge and skills

Normalize the need for support to learn and apply evidence-based prevention and wellbeing strategies and implementation best practices

Model evidence-based prevention and wellbeing strategies and implementation best practices through media products

Leverage existing social and professional networks to accelerate communication efforts and facilitate improved access to support

We acknowledge the natural networks through which community members seek support, and leverage these networks to provide information and awareness.
Develop the abilities of state and community partners to accelerate the impact of evidence-based prevention strategies beyond face-to-face service provision
Contribute to the field of implementation science

What this looks like

We work with community backbone organizations and service organizations to:

  • Identify public health communication and networking resources
  • Design and utilize communication strategies that draw upon public health best practices
  • Build capacity of state and community partners to utilize social network analysis to identify the most effective means of message distribution
